Stunning Sketches: Part 1 of 6

wbfeb10_1greece_500x500

Don’t have your cake or dress picked out yet? Well, for those of you still on the hunt for those special elements, this week’s blog posts are going to blow your mind away. A few weeks back I contacted Tina Cho from Partina Atelier and Diana Shin from Papillon Cakes about working on a “special” collaboration exclusive to this blog. The idea was to work together and sketch out a matching cake and dress design–inspired by a specific destination. The result? Well, let’s just say I nearly knocked Jenn down with joy when the sketches arrived in my inbox. The talented pair had sent over 6 gorgeous and inspiring designs for you ladies to fawn over. Today I am revealing their “Greece” inspired wedding gown and confection. Aren’t the olive leaf embellishments beautiful? Let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas and if there’s a specific destination-inspired gown or cake that you’re looking for.

FYI: make sure to come back every day this week to see a newly revealed sketch from Partina Atelier and Papillon Cakes.

I love the sketches — the dress looks so elegant and stylish — i read somewhere that one shoulder gowns were going to be very hot this year!

Thanks Judith!! Sounds like Las Vegas would be a great idea for a social :)

What a great idea! The dress looks so elegant with the one shoulder design, sweet heart neckline and flowy skirt. The cake looks yummy! This would be such a great idea for any couple that has a special spot in their heart for Greece. I can’t wait to see the rest of the sketches!

I had originally wanted a Las Vegas (where Mark proposed) themed wedding but the more I thought about it, the more it didn’t fit with my “simple wedding” vision. Maybe it’s more fitting for our wedding social? Guess we’ll see.

Thanks Rosie! I’m excited to see the ‘real deals’ when they’re complete. :)
