Something Blue
Today I received this really cute pocket-sized (don’t let this cropped image fool you) blue book for brides. It’s called Fortune-Telling Book for Brides, which is released by Chronicle Books. It’s not out until September 1st, but here’s the 411. As I was turning the pages, I found myself amazed by some of the descriptions. For example, the first section of the book is entitled Where You Got Engaged, which is a small write-up outlining the type of personality you and your mister can expect to have. Here’s two examples of what they had to say if you got engaged at a:
Restaurant: The two of you have expensive and cultured tastes. Fortunately, you will have the means to afford the lifestyle you desire. If you became engaged at restaurant you had been to before, you already have your wealth, or it will follow quickly after marriage; if the restaurant was new to you, your fortune will come with time.
Near water: If you became engaged by a river, lake, or waterfall, the two of you will meet a new couple in the first year of marriage who will forever change your lives for the better.
They’re pretty generic examples, but I always find that it’s fun to read into the meaning behind certain wedding decisions/moments.
