How Taboo!

I always love the opportunity to take a road trip! This one led me to the beautiful Muskoka resort of Taboo.
This lovely couple had a definite idea of what they wanted their flowers to be: elegant and luxurious, with a natural touch to pull in the amazing surroundings of the resort.
We used my favorite flower—white hydrangea, to create a focal in the standards and centrepieces. By filling up the arrangements with groups of hydrangea, we hardly needed any greenery! As accents on the dinner tables, we used a creamy rose called vandella along with another personal favorite of mine, green cymbidium orchids. In addition to the hydrangea and roses, the ceremony standards also included tall birch poles with white dendrobium orchids to create a little height. Finally, small clusters of star of bethlehem and soft green ribbon graced the aisle for this outdoor ceremony.

In the end I think we were successful in merging the elegance of this couple, with the warmth and earthiness of this stunning summer haven.
