Summer at the Hunt Club

I had the pleasure of designing a fresh summer wedding this past weekend at The Toronto Hunt club. My adorable bride wanted primarily small bloomed, dainty flowers in whites with a touch of yellow. It turned out to be the perfect choice for a well overdue sunny summer day.
The outdoor venue at the Hunt club is beautiful. Guests overlook Lake Ontario as the bride and groom exchange vows from the top of the bluffs. We accented the garden arbour of this scenic backdrop with a lush garland of greenery embedded with white dendrobium and cymbidium orchids. On each side we placed two garden standards of white hydrangea, white lilies, butter yellow roses and solidago, arranged in oversized vases.
The bride and her attendees carried white and yellow freesia, Star of Bethlehem, white spray roses, and stephanotis for the bouquets. We paired the centrepieces to the bouquets and added plenty of salal, variegated pittosporum, and even some mini carnations—can you spot them? The fresh smell of the freesia seemed to bring in the warm summer air into the bright reception room.
The Toronto Hunt is truly a diamond hidden in Toronto.
