Canada’s Prettiest Cakes
Cake by Bobbette and Belle in Toronto
From the designer: “I was inspired by the artwork of the Dutch Master Painters, but I wanted to interpret the wildflower feeling in a new way. I have long been a fan of antique ribbon embroidery and recreating the flowers out of ribbons of sugar and then hand painting them allowed me to create an intricate vintage garden. I love that the cake has an antique feel and that I created a sugar work technique that did not exist before. Trying new and innovative things is the highlight of designing for me.”
