This past Saturday Nicole Richie and Joel Madden finally said “I do,” after four years together and two children later. The couple had 130 guests in what was a lavish, yet intimate affair. “Nicole wanted a memorable, elegant affair for only their closest friends and family on their special day,” a source told People magazine. The most extravagant part of the wedding? Probably the elephant that was spotted being led into Lionel Richie’s estate, where the wedding was held.
According to sources Nicole wore a Marchesa gown and the pair exchanged rings from jeweller Neil Lane, the same designer who did her engagement ring. US Magazine reports that DMC rapper and minister Reverend Run officiated the ceremony. Guests in attendance included Madden’s twin brother Benji, DJ Samantha Ronson, Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale, as well as reality star Khloe Kardashian. Not in attendance? Nicole’s former BFF Paris Hilton. Congrats to the newlyweds!
