Birthday girl, Emmy nominee and Glee star Lea Michele looked simply stunning at the Emmy’s. Opting for a navy Oscar de la Renta mermaid gown with voluminous flamenco-style ruffles at the bottom, it was the perfect choice for the evening. It flattered her petite frame, and was oh-so-glamorous! Definitely how you should look when you know all eyes will be on you for the evening. “I love Oscar de la Renta and I love blue,” she told People.com. “When I saw this, it was perfect!” The look was completed with a statement necklace and bracelets by Lorraine Schwartz. Navy is a fantastic alternative to black and we saw more than one star opt for the rich colour including her Glee cast mate Jayma Mays, and Jane Krakowski in a one-shoulder Escada. A lovely shade to put your bridesmaids in especially for a fall wedding, and is great if you want a sophisticated look, and are afraid black is too harsh. We also have to say just how much we love Oscar’s bridal creations, if you haven’t already taken a peek at his Spring 2011 collection, we suggest you do. Even if he’s not in your budget, it can definitely inspire you to find your dream dress!
