Hollywood is in Love

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about Hollywood couples getting engaged or married, simply because there was a little bit of a lull. Welcome summer and there have been engagements and weddings left and right! The most surprising elopement to me was Calista Flockheart and Harrison Ford. While they have been together for more than eight years (and a quiet engagement), I still never thought they’d take the plunge. Where and when you ask? On Tuesday in New Mexico where Ford is on set filming, says People.com. The two exchanged vows in the Governor’s Mansion, with the Governor performing the ceremony and the Chief Justice making it legal. Simple, but we say if it’s how you want it, then it’s perfect.
Another surprise wedding? Canadian Alanis Morisette who has been pretty low-key these days, said “I do” to rapper Souleye in an intimate ceremony late May in their L.A. home. She tweeted, “So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married. We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other….sending love…connect soon xo – Alanis.”
Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha, who’s been very active on her Twitter about her wedding plans, tied the knot to interior designer James Conran on June 9 in a very intimate ceremony of 50 in France. Our favourite detail? Her Zac Posen wedding gown — absolutely stunning.
We also learned about two engagements this week including longtime on-and-off again pair Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green. According to UsWeekly.com he popped the question in Hawaii, just beach side of the Four Seasons Hualalai on the Big Island. The two have been engaged before (and called it off), so maybe second time’s a charm!
Just today, the news is out about Ugly Betty‘s America Ferrera who is engaged to longtime beau Ryan Piers Williams. They met at the University of Southern California where he cast her in a student film, says People.com. No news yet on wedding details, but I will keep you posted! Congrats to all!
