Katy Perry Says “Yes!”

After only four months of dating, singer Katy Perry is engaged to boyfriend comedian Russell Brand. Brand popped the question during a vacation to India the pair took last week. According to People.com the two stayed at the luxurious Taj Rambagh Palace. The actual engagement happened at the hotel, where Brand arranged a special dinner for the two on New Year’s Eve. When midnight hit, the two watched fireworks while sitting on an elephant and Perry found the Cartier engagement ring hidden in some flowers. While no details about a wedding date have been announced, their whirlwind romance is definitely full speed ahead!
Like I mentioned in an earlier post, the holidays are a popular time for many couples to get engaged – that and vacations! One prediction I did make in late December did come true. Kevin Jonas wed girlfriend Danielle Deleasa. Other honourable mentions include: Vince Vaughn who wed Canadian girlfriend Kyla Weber, and rounding out the engagements include Carrie Underwood and Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher (who reportedly received a $150,000 ring) and oddballs, Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson.

YAY!! I’m not the biggest fan of Katy Perry but Russell Brand is hilarious! :)
