Tis the season for all sorts of celebrations—and in the celebrity world, it’s also a popular time for engagements and weddings. While I haven’t heard anything for certain there has been a lot of buzz around a few couples including Penelope Cruz and Javiar Bardem, who have been a couple since 2007. The latest gossip is that they’re planning on tying the knot this December. Another couple who could be a two-some by 2010 is Kevin Jonas and girlfriend Danielle Deleasa, who got engaged this summer. Brother Nick told ABC News Radio, “They have not set a date yet, but I think that it’ll be sometime around the end of the year, beginning of the year – something like that.” Last by not least in the gossip sphere is Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, who have already been victims of the secret wedding tabloid story earlier this year. Word is they’ll say “I do” around the Christmas season and keep the celebration low-key. Whether or not any of these couples do, one of my favourite things to do is play dress-up and imagine what they would wear….
Here’s what I think each “bride” would walk down the aisle in.
Like her Oscar gown, I see Penelope in a dress that has an a-line silhouette and subtle details, like this breathtaking Reem Acra from the Fall 2010 runways.

Danielle would look gorgeous in a strapless princess gown like this Amsale piece from the Fall 2010 runway. Love the pretty ribbon cinching the waist.

Nicole, known for her more bohemian sense of style, would likely go for a more flowy dress that feels more vintage, like this from the Melissa Sweet Fall 2010 collection.

What do you think? Do you like any of these gowns for yourself? Tell me! I’d love to know.
