Gossip Girl’s Wedding #2

On this week’s episode Rufus and Lily finally said “I do” in an intimate wedding that was very them. You may remember Season 2′s wedding with Lily and Bart, which was the social event of the season. This time around was totally different. Rufus proposes they take “a leap” which turns into why don’t we get married tomorrow? With the help of the new “Mean Girls” as Serena calls them, they manage to swing an outdoor ceremony in Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Leave it to Jenny to get out her sewing needle and create Lily’s gown – a magenta sleeveless silk dress with a bib of ruffles. Paired with turquoise chandelier earrings and a softly swept updo, we imagined this dress looking fabulous on a bridesmaid, but for this situation was perfection (isn’t it her fourth marriage?).
While the original wedding is cancelled because Lily can’t figure out how to write her vows (naturally she storms off), they end up tying the knot at Rufus’ house with the immediate family surrounding them. Oh and how can we forget Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon as the officiant. As for fashion lovelies Blair and Serena, take a peek at their wedding ensembles below. Maybe some more inspiration for your pre-wedding soirees?
