The Neil Lane ring Jillian accepted
On the season finale of The Bachelorette Jillian accepted a proposal from Ed hand-in-hand with a Neil Lane diamond and platinum ring worth $60,000. According to People.com the ring is “set with a 2.05-carat pear-shaped center diamond with six baguette-cut diamonds to accent the center stone and 94 round-cut diamonds to give it a contemporary look.” Talk about bling. I don’t know if I personally could wear something so expensive on my hand everyday, but then I haven’t had the opportunity to oppose such an offer! In my first post about The Bachelorette I was pretty skeptical, but I got addicted and ended up watching it every week—hating Wes like everyone else, drooling over Kiptyn and gasping during Ed’s traumatic overnight date. I’m happy for the new couple. I think they’re adorable! But back to the jewellery. Before The Bachelor series I wasn’t too familiar with Neil Lane (since he’s L.A.-based), but what I did discover is how celeb-friendly his brand is. Celebs like Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Garner have worn him on the red carpet and is definitely a popular man amongst the Hollywood set. So tell me what is your engagement ring look like? Pear-shaped or princess? Gold or platinum? Custom or antique?
