Designer Gowns

Two gorgeous stars with upcoming nuptials recently revealed their gown designers. Christina Hendricks, of Mad Men fame (we can’t wait for the third season of) told tvguidemagazine.com that when she weds he longtime beau actor Geoffrey Arend on Oct. 11, 2009, she’ll be wearing a Carolina Herrera gown. She didn’t give details about the dress, however she has worn Herrera before. It was a form fitting red gown at the SAG awards and fit like a glove. She’ll likely go custom, but if she were to pick off the runway I’ve made a couple suggestions that I think would be stunning.

Another fashionable star that will be walking down the aisle is Claire Danes. Engaged to actor Hugh Dancy, she’s going the custom route with a Narciso Rodriguez, says People.com, a designer she calls a “dear friend.” Rodriguez is a master when it comes to dressing women, structuring pieces with a detailed precision. The simplicity, yet strength in his clothes is a perfect fit for Danes who is a big supporter.
If you could have any designer create your wedding gown, who would it be?

My mother is making my wedding dress! We designed it together and I am lucky enough that she is able to make it for me!
If I didn’t have her, I would 100% get Stephanie James to create a piece for me. Her gowns are exactly the style I love. http://www.stephaniejamescouture.com/
