It is so stressful to find that perfect honeymoon. They always say do something big…you will never do it again. I searched and searched on the website trying to find that perfect place. Thanks to my girlfriend who referred me to Luxury Vacations & Hideaways (www.luxuryvh.com). They did everything. I had to fill out a questionnaire for them to get to know me a bit better and what we liked to do and they came back with some options. It was great they designed a honeymoon package just for us…not the typically stay somewhere. We went to St.Martn and St.Bart’s for 14 nights – it was on the high side but well worth it. Again, how many times do you plan to go on a honeymoon?
Our travel advisor recommend La Samanna in St,Martin and Eden Rock in St.Bart’s, in one word WOW!. Luxury Vacations & Hideways also arranged for us to have a car, made our dinner reservations, and even arranged our activities…we did not have to do anything. It was awesome. After planning your wedding do you really want to plan your honeymoon and be stressed about where to eat, what to do etc.
My pick for the top hotel for a honeymoon would have to be Eden Rock.
We are still unsure on our honeymoon but we may go to Mexico for 2 weeks, one week in Tulum and one week in Playa Del Carmen…. I would love to go to Europe but I’d rather go in the summer. Wooohoooo cant wait to RELAX.. 4 more months..
So my Fiance, Kyle, is planning it entirely, but we are doing a roadtrip to the east coast (Nova Scotia and Newfoundland). I don’t get to know all the fun details but i’m sure it’ll be a whole lot of fun!!!
We are planning on a 7day Cruise of the Caribbean (leaving the night after the wedding). And then after that, 5days in Walt Disneyworld!
We’re planning three weeks in Egypt. Cairo, Nile Cruise and a week at a five star resort on the Red Sea. I can’t wait!
We spent two and half weeks in Greece followed by a few days in London, England. Nothing was really planned in advance except for a couple of key hotel rooms and the flights. Don’t get me wrong, we did all kinds of research before hand to decide which Greek islands we wanted to visit and which ones we didn’t mind missing. But, we wanted to start our married life with an adventure we’d remember for a lifetime…and that’s exactly what we got! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

What islands did you end up visiting? We want to spend our honeymoon in the Greece islands but we are having a hard time deciding which ones to go to and neither of us have been there before.
Can you believe that I have been so caught up and stressed with starting to plan/budget for our wedding in October 2010 that I didn’t even budget for a honeymoon. Never even crossed my mind because it is after the big day. WOW!!! My fiance was not too happy. LOL!
We are aiming for BARBADOS… wish us luck!
We are going to Europe for 3 weeks! We were initially going to do a low-key honeymoon but recently decided that we will only have one honeymoon and we want to make the most of it. We are hitting France, Italy, and Spain before we come home and get back to real life :)
