Blogger Vote Has Begun!
You voted for your top seven bride bloggers. Then followed their wedding planning adventures for six months. Now it’s time to vote for the grand prize winner (we know it’s not an easy task, which is why we’re leaving it up to you!). How it works is every day you get one chance (that is one vote per user registration) until July 27 and the blogger with the highest percentage of votes, will win a trip for two to the El Dorado Casitas Royale in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, plus a ton of other amazing prizes. Every bride blogger is going to win some fantastic goodies, so no one goes home without something sweet (we’re talking Peoples Jeweller gift certificate and Clinique makeup). Just joined us? No worries, you can read all of their posts to make an informative decision. What are you waiting for? Vote now!

Agreed. Julie if you look at the last six months, the girls with lower results from voting didn’t have many comments on their posts. The girls who had higher comments in the competition are getting similar numbers in terms of percentages. I also agree with kwt, it’s not fair to say someone isn’t doing this the “right” way, who’s to say the girls with more votes don’t have just as many or more people voting for them? Agree with Kelly too – if a bride is a blogger and already has built a support network that way, clearly it is going to lend support to a blogging competition. Best wishes to every one of the brides with their weddings/marriages, it has been interesting reading everyone’s story and I don’t think we should spoil that with insinuations.
i am glad to see the votes reflect the comments & support that the girls had all along. it is after all a blogging contest and the two girls who actually have blogs are doing well and have the support of the blogging world on top of those in everyday life. emily and judith were leaders from the start and had the most support because they both were actually bloggers…… i might be wrong but i don’t think any of the other brides are actually bloggers. blogging provides a huge network of support & i am glad to see that reflected in a blogging competition. all these ladies had interesting stories but some wrote better and were more engaging than others. and i think that is coming across. what a journey!!!!
I find it hard to believe with all the people voting for a certain contestant that she is not in first… good luck to everyone who is doing this the right way!
Good luck to all the brides, the blogging has been interesting.
Congrats to Emily… I saw she just won a $500 prize from Independent Jeweller’s contest for her engagement story.
As for the support issue, I don’t think it’s fair to say that one person has had the most interest from the start. Everyone was in different categories at the start, that’s comparing apples to oranges.
Taking everything into account including the prizes, Jessyca (Luxury), Emily (Traditional), and Carrie (Eco) are most deserving of the prize as all other brides have had a wedding already. I am hoping people keep this in mind when they are voting. I have enjoyed the journeys of all the bloggers, some more than others, but in fairness the winner should be one of the three who have not yet had their wedding/honeymoon.
woo go em! you’ve made everyone smile with your entries and you deserve this. some of the contestants already had weddings you should win!
Emily needs to win this, it’s obvious she’s had the most support and interest from the start! She’s the best writer in this thing! GO EMILY!!!
