Wedding Belle: Romantic and Whimsical
Bride: Karran Finlay
Wedding Date: May 21, 2010
Wedding Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia
Wedding Style: Karran’s ivory, silk taffeta gown was a strapless number with a washed silk organza overlay. The dress was embellished with flirty flowers and beaded embroidery. “When I put on the dress, it made me want to spin and dance—so that’s the one I picked!” Karran says. The whimsical a-line dress was complimented with a thin pearl necklace and drop diamond and pearl earrings borrowed from the groom’s mother. Karran’s delicate floral beaded hair accessories were a romantic touch to her fun loosely curled hairstyle, with pieces braided away from her face. Karran describes her accessories as, “simple, elegant and romantic!” The simple makeup was enough for this natural beauty, while a light pink and white bouquet added a subtle pop of colour to her ensemble. Karran warmed up in an ivory fur cover-up while high up in the mountains of Vancouver. In harmony with Karran’s fanciful and fun look, her groomsmen wore black Vans sneakers with colourful socks, while the bridesmaids flaunted steel blue dresses.
