I Heart Hanbok

The Korean hanbok is a beautiful and colourful wedding garment.

When Canada AM came knocking (be sure to read Alison’s blog for a complete recap), I hit the town in search of unique bridal fashions from around the world. I was particularly captivated by the hanbok (a traditional Korean garment), and Jennifer at Total Wedding even let me try one on! These ornate, loose-fitting garments are spectacular—I love the clean lines, the rainbow of colours and the exquisite embroidery. In fact, I can’t seem to get enough of these dresses! A little Internet research revealed that tons of modern Korean fashion designers are coming up with new and exciting versions of the hanbok, and they’re simply lovely. What about incorporating some of these bold colours into your wedding? I’m partial to the purple…and the saffron yellow…
