The Bay Bride
The Bay has long been considered the destination in Canada for all your wedding registry needs, but it’s also at the top of my list as a great source for affordable costume jewellery, and it was with this mission in mind that I visited Toronto’s Queen Street store last night. After perusing the aisles of pearls and chunky crystal statement necklaces, I ventured upstairs to The Room for a brief browse through the clothing racks. Imagine my surprise when I stepped off the escalator and was greeted by a bride and her attendants! This just goes to show that you can find wedding fashion inspiration almost anywhere! I actually think it could be quite cute to have your bridesmaids dressed in little tweed skirt suits—very Coco Chanel! I’m also in love with this super-long veil…talk about making a dramatic entrance. Of course, I couldn’t resist taking a peek at the shoe section, and I was immediately enchanted with all things Bruno Frisoni. The ruffled sandal is definitely wearable art, and the little lace peep-toe booties could be the perfect modern wedding shoe (in my books, anyway!). Where do you like to go when you’re in need of a little retail therapy? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
