The Oscar fashion rundown continues! Obviously, I couldn’t agree more with Alison and Stephanie: Sandra Bullock was the picture of perfection in Marchesa, Cameron Diaz sparkled in Oscar de la Renta and Anna Kendrick was a blushing beauty in Elie Saab. Coincidentally, all of these labels just happen to have bridal lines! Check out our gown galleries to see if your dream dress is in one of their collections! Oh, and I dished about an upcoming Marchesa trunk show on Friday, so make sure you get in on that action, too. For today’s entry I wanted to highlight a notable red-carpet trend that’s tailor-made for your maids: posh patterns. Canadian girl Rachel McAdams did us proud in a billowing Elie Saab gown that looked like a watercolour painting come to life, and Maggie Gyllenhaal (my prediction for Best Dressed) rocked a high-fashion abstract print by Dries Van Noten. I’ve mentioned before that I absolutely adore patterns of any kind for your bridesmaids, floral, geometric or otherwise, and I still maintain that they’re a fresh alternative to solid colours. What do you think? Are either of these looks wedding-worthy? Who was your best-dressed starlet of the night?
