Head’s Up

Not sure if you’re a veil kind of girl? Fret not! There are plenty of lovely options for you to consider. Here at Weddingbells we often use headbands and blusher veils in our photoshoots to achieve that fashion-forward look. This dreamy piece by renowned designer Jennifer Behr (a fave of the Hollywood set) is a definite show-stopper, and the good news is that these flowers will never wilt! For a truly dramatic effect, pair this headpiece with a smoky eye or a bold red lip. Tip: take your accessories with you to your hair and makeup consultation so your stylist/makeup artist can get a feel for your overall look. Besides beautiful blossoms, fun and flirty feathers make a great addition to your ’do. Vancouver-based milliner Alice Hart certainly knows a thing or two about flattering, feathery hair accessories, as you can see. Another great Canadian label is Ophelie Hats out of Montreal. The line includes chic toppers that range from fairly classic to totally quirky and avant-garde. I think this blusher veil with petal appliqués couldn’t be prettier! What do you think? Would you choose any of these to top off your bridal look? As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I just love, love, LOVE this new (actually retro) ‘Blusher Veils. Although, I would like to see more of a variety of perhaps more ‘delicate’ feature or focus on them. i.e. ‘fresh’ flowers (rose-buds, orchids) enhanced with tiny pearls, tiny iridescent beads. Also, for the Head-band, the sky is the limit.

Actually, this begins to stir-up MY creative abilities and I think I will begin to experiment this project.

    They are absolutely LOVELY!!
