Indie Style

A beautiful dress by Sarah Seven.
How do you find the perfect dress if you’re not a “typical” bride? My suggestion is to seek out an independent designer in your area and have something made just for you. The resulting dress will appeal to your desire for something unique, and it will fit you like a glove! Plus, most dress designers are willing to work with you to accommodate your budget by choosing more affordable fabrics and avoiding the type of intricate details that often up the cost. I’m always looking for unique wedding gowns to inspire me, and I just happened to stumble across this designer on Etsy. It’s always refreshing to see something new that you won’t find at every bridal boutique in a ten block radius! I’m loving the delicate details and asymmetry of this dress.
What do you think? Are you buying off the rack or having your dress made? Would you ever consider ordering your gown through the Internet, or is it simply too risky? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I love this dress…it is a refreshing change from some of the atrocities we have all seen on bridal shows…thankyou for showing the other side of ‘the dress’ and giving women who are unique, and have a different vision, something else to consider.
