Shades of Pale

Happy family day, all! Just wanted to share a lovely bridesmaid dress with you from J. Crew. I must have an early case of spring fever because I’m seriously craving all things light and airy, and this lovely little dress definitely fits the bill. The ombré effect is so pretty: it’s a fresh alternative to solid colours and more subtle than some other patterns. Apparently, the designers at J.Crew based this dress on a vintage bathing suit from the 1950s, which goes to show that inspiration can from just about anywhere! I thought this dress was so sweet that I just had to go looking for the perfect finishing touches: neutral shoes and a pale blue clutch.

In fact, these accessories would look great with your gown, too. And here’s a tip for you: neutral shoes can be worn with almost anything in your wardrobe, and they also elongate your legs. What woman doesn’t want that?
