Bride: Deanne Baker
Wedding Date: August 21, 2010
Wedding Location: Carberry, Manitoba
Wedding Style: Surrounded by the natural beauty of her groom’s parent’s acreage, Deanne became the picture-perfect prairie bride. For her big day she chose a dramatic fit-to-flare gown with a diagonally ruched bodice. This one-strap stunner is strategically embellished with a fabric sash resting at the natural waist and fabric flowers lining the shoulder. Deanne kept her hair down, with her tousled blond curls peeking behind a waist-length veil and a chapel-length train trailing behind her. Her summer coloured bouquet was the perfect reflection of her natural garden theme. Deanne’s best girls mirrored her bridal style with asymmetrically ruched lavender gowns and miniature versions of the bridal bouquet. Undertaking everything from the cake to the favours, it was Deanne, Deanne’s mom and bridesmaids that were the wedding-planners for this extraordinary day. They chalked the wedding full of DIY details, yet kept decoration to a minimum to enhance the natural prairie scene.
