Ballroom Bash
My name is Jessyca Mullan, I am 23-years-old and I would be an amazing 2010 bride blogger for weddingbells.ca because I am creative, fun, and always entertaining. I am marrying my high school sweetheart and have dreamed about my wedding from a very young age. I am particular and always pay attention to details. I look forward to incorporating unique aspects into my wedding, and I think that my ideas will be interesting and enjoyable for other brides-to-be that are reading my blog. I would definitely surpass two blogs a month and think I could bring a fresh perspective to the ups, downs, the special moments, and the “pull your hair out” moments that come with planning a wedding. I believe I have good writing skills, and always enjoyed writing in my school days.
My wedding is August 7, 2010 at the Windsor Ballrooms in Montreal. We have chosen a lounge/club atmosphere, and will have a lounge area in the reception hall. I chose to enter the Luxury category because I really want this to be a grand and formal party (HUGE ball gown included). There will be a candy/popcorn buffet, 20+ft white lit curtains at the entranceway and the color theme is tiffany blue and ivory with a pink accent.
I would be honoured to be part of the seven bloggers that will be chosen, and I promise I will take it seriously, and definitely give as much input and detail as I can for the readers.

I hope you feel good getting to the final 7 by cheating.
Agreed with Evelyn – not for this category but another; random 2-3% increases do not just happen, clearly people are being dishonest. You cant have the next round done in the same way its just not fair.
Thanks Emily, wishing you the best of luck as well, it definitely sounds like your wedding will be beautiful! I saw some of those posts, and it is just awful how people can get sometimes, there’s no need for being impolite or judgmental. I’m glad they got it all cleared up, though they shouldn’t have had to, because things like this shouldn’t happen.
Evelyn – I’m sorry you feel this way, but I would never do something dishonest like that to get a higher percentage. As I have mentioned in my previous post.
Still hoping I’ll get to share my wedding with everyone! And I wish all contestants the best of luck for the final day of voting!
I think the Wedding Bells staff should take a note of what you said about the contest making you stressed and anxious; I have a friend in this competition who is having a VERY tough time with the rapid percentage changes, the negative comments, and the worry about what’s going to happen – I think a month was totally too long to draw out the tension and really brought out some negative things, when in the end all that really is going to count is how many people click a mouse for a certain girl. I feel sorrry for everyone in this contest and I sincerly hope the staff don’t do this to you all in the following round. I agree with a lot of the comments about it being unfair and its not fair for some of you who I know work 2 jobs, don’t have any time on their hands to see their fiance let alone spend a bunch of time voting, when others can sit around making as many accounts as they want and voting for themselves. I’m not accusing anyone of this but a lot of peoples suspicions have been raised in general and its totally a possibility and i definitely see how it could make anyone in this competition very stressed out. I’m sorry you had to go through this and I wish you all the best once this is all over and you can focus on planning your wedding!!
An increase like this did not jsut happen, make the contest fair or do not have it at all.
You sure turned things around!!!!!!
Hi Jessyca I know it hurts when people start saying things that aren’t true. There were a lot of nasty comments directed at the other post in my category and I started getting comments telling me to “stop getting my friends to say bad things about her, it’s making you look bad” – my friends would NEVER do something like that, and it really hurt when people started assuming I would! Thankfully (for Philippa’s sake as well as mine) WeddingBells staff stepped in and took care of things, but I can totally empathise – good luck, it sounds like you’re going to have a beautiful wedding and a lifetime of happiness :)
Hi!
I know I can’t let it bother me, it still hurts to hear that there are accusations being made, I know who I am and what I do, and I would never cheat on something like this.
I really truly, would love to share my wedding and be a weddingbells blogger, but would never do anything dishonest to get there.
Hi Katherine! Thanks for the comment! I didn’t say I had the ballgown, I just know the type of dress I’m looking for – and it will definitely be a big dress. :)
This wedding has been a long time in the making! Joseph and I met when we were 15 and 16, we will be together 9 years when we get married. We are not only best friends but obviously high school sweethearts. We have shared so much of our lives together, we could never imagine being with anyone else. We are so excited to start this new phase of our lives together!
All I can say is Keep Voting! And I wish everyone luck!
It looks like theres controversy going on around this post and the other one in the category and we all saw what happened when people started accusing two other girls in this competition of nasty things, Jessyca dont let people talking about cheating discourage you just because youve gone up in votes recently, both of you have great entries and will have great weddings!!!!!
it looks like the other entry is getting a lot of attention cuz she’s gone down in percentage, i hope youre not letting it get to you and dont let accusations of cheating discourage you, people will vote for who they want to win and if they want you to win thats fair! good luck with your wedding it sounds lovely
not sure if this one should win the grand prize of a big ballgown if you already have one. But would still be a nice wedding to follow.
If you keep on voting you just might! :D
I hope I get to see a picture of this enormous gown!!!!!
