First off, I’d just like to say that I’m a Vancouver gal through and through. I was born and raised here, and I have no intention of ever moving away. Why would I? We live in the most beautiful spot on earth, in my opinion, and I want my future kids to have all same pleasures that I’ve had while growing up here. Now, you may be asking why I’d waste 64 words on describing my love for Vancouver when I should be getting down to the nitty gritty of my wedding planning? Well, that’s easy: it’s because being a proud Vancouverite is such a huge part of who I am that it cannot, and should not, be separated from me, my wedding planning or my blogging venture.
Now the irony of this, of course, is the fact that I’m a destination bride! I’m getting married in Negril, Jamaica. Hold your horses, you might be saying—why would someone so in love with her home city decide to stage the most important day of her life on foreign soil? Well, for the answer to that, I suppose you’ll just have to stay tuned, won’t ya? That’s right, I’ll be blogging about why we chose to have a destination wedding, what planning a destination wedding entails, detailing all of my DIY wedding projects and more! I look forward to sharing this amazingly magical time in my life with the wonderful readers at weddingbells.ca. Cheers!

Hi Lara! I love being able to read about “the love story” even though I will never forget your version in person a year ago! You two are so cute together, can’t wait until you are officially “Mr and Mrs”.
Congrats it looks like you’ll make it through but it looks like it was fixed anyway and it might be as far as you get clearly the Wedding Bells staff have already picked their winner (Mai) as they delete anything negative directed at her immediately while they let nasty comments on your entry stay up for days. They edit Mai’s comments too so she doesn’t look bad and make sure she is always in the lead. Its a fix and i’m sad for you. But best of luck in your wedding it sounds lovely
it took me like 30 minutes to register. WHO separates the street number with the street name?!? REALLY. Love you longtime. good luck!
