Very Berry Stain

CoverGirl's Outlast Lipstain
One of the many perks of being a makeup artist is all the free products that companies send you to try and thank goodness, because with the thousands of make-up lines in the market today, I would never get around to trying half the ones that I love and use regularly.
Now, I have to tell you that I consider myself a bit of a lip stain connoisseur and just when I thought I had tried them all, voilá—today I received a package from P&G beauty and in it is CoverGirl’s “Outlast Lipstain.” I am super impressed! It has a felt-marker applicator, a nice matte berry stain and a tart fruity smell as a bonus. My advice with a stain like this one is to make sure your lips are well moisturized and not chapped before you use it. A perfect exfoliating tip for the lips is while you are brushing your teeth simply give your lips a little once over with the tooth brush and then follow with lip balm. It will remove any chapped skin and leave your lips nice and soft. You can always add a little balm or gloss on top for extra moisture and shine.
Which brings me to a gloss. If you are a girl that likes the look of a stain but just can’t go without the shine, my all time beloved lipgloss for a bride is “Plus Luxe Lipglass” by M.A.C. Don’t be afraid of how bright it looks in the tube, once its on, its the perfect pop of colour that goes on like a stain only in a gloss form.
For those after something with moisture, “Joe Fresh Tinted Lipbalm” in pomegranate has the perfect stain colour but is extremely moisturizing for those not needing the staying power and doesn’t mind to reapply often. I have to say, I love this one. I am a re-applier and there is something comforting in knowing it always looks fresh.
And last but certainly not least, another by Joe Fresh, but this time it’s the “Cheek Tint” in cherry. Sure use it on your cheeks, but best of all it’s an excellent lip stain that stays on for hours. It gives your lips that look like you’ve just sucked on a cherry popsicle (without the messy drip stains all over your wedding gown!!). So whether it’s staying power, moisture, or shine, there is something for everyone in the stain department.

I definitely want to read a bit more soon. By the way, rather nice design you have here, but don’t you think it should be changed once in a few months?

I am huge fan of Cover Girl lip stain, and it looks great with a dab of Rosebud Salve over top for some shine. Will definitely have to try the Joe Fresh lip balm. Thanks, Michelle!
I have been wearing make-up for a long long time. In doing so, one can get stuck in a rut, using the same products over and over again. I think I’ll try your suggestions, especially your expertise re keeping lips looking good.
Thank you, Michelle
