Smashbox Favourites
Earlier in the summer I got a chance to preview Smashbox’s fall collection and meet their fantastic Pro Lead Makeup Artist Lori Taylor (who later shared some bridal beauty tips with me — so stayed tuned for that). I was really impressed with the collection and couldn’t wait to try every single product they had. After some testing (we got a chance to try everything right there), I’ve narrowed down the items I think are best for your wedding day. Here are my picks:
1. Photo Finish Targeted Pore & Line Primer, $37
If you don’t know anything about Smashbox, chances are you know about their signature primers. This particular primer is great if you’re having a summer celebration or have oily skin. It’s an ultra-concentrated mattifying formula and developed to target the oily t-zone, crow’s feet and around the mouth. You can use it in addition to your standard primer and of course, under your foundation.
2. Limitless Eyeliner, $22
It’s all about longwearing products when it comes to your wedding day makeup. Think about the time when you actually put on your
makeup to when the night ends — that’s a long time! — which is why you’ll love this waterproof and smudge-proof eyeliner. Available in five rich shades, including onyx and black violet, it’s a soft liner that stays put. The design is also brilliant, as the cap houses a build-in sharpener.
3. O-Gloss Noir, $25
Out of the tube the gloss is black, but once you apply it to your lips to becomes a customized bold berry hue that is tailored to your skin tone. It also has a yummy scent thanks to goji berry extracts and pomegranate seeds, which are also moisturizing too.
4. Brow Tech To Go, $30
One thing you can’t forget about when it comes to your wedding day look is your brows! A set of perfect arches totally frames your entire face. What’s great about this version is it’s travel-friendly and has a double-ended wand. One side is an angled waterproof pencil for filling brows and the other side is a soft-hold gel with a brow brush applicator. Perfect for packing in your beauty bag for mid-day touch-ups.
