Win a Rowenta Flat Iron!

Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images Entertainment/ GettyImages

**CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED**

Congratulations to Melissa B. of Toronto who has won herself a Rowenta Flat Iron! Please note winner was selected at random.

Known for their irons and professional garment steamers, about a year ago Rowenta launched its beauty line into the North American market. The tools were tested with the best of the best, including with Ford’s celebrity hair stylist Brennen DeMelo, and backstage at fashion week in Toronto and Montreal during the Fall & Winter 2010 collections. With five in total, including a Straight & Curl 2 in 1 curling iron and a Professional Flat Iron (which we’re giving away!), you can get professional results at home (especially good if you’re opting to do your own wedding day hair — or even for the events around your wedding). Looking for a sexy and sleek look for your wedding? We love Gwyneth Paltrow’s sleek pony at the CFDA Fashion Awards in June, as inspiration. To get the look Rowenta’s flat iron is a great option because it has three temperature settings – 360º, 410º, 450º (which can heat up to the highest in just 30 seconds), Titanium Technology (to kill bacteria and for durability) and is also easy to pack up and go. Will a flat iron help you with your wedding day look (or one of the parties around your wedding)? If so, tell us how for your chance to win one (valued at $220). *Please note this contest is only open to Canadian residents.

I have ,what I thought was a pretty good flat iron. But, it seems that it’s abit dated and not performing as well as bofore. My schedule is busy with my kids and to do my hair ,can be a real chore. It would be nice if my hair could be straightened and done in a shorter time ,so I can get on with the things I have to do.

  • Kristi says:

I have curly hair that has a mind of its own so a good quality flat iron would be extremely helpful for my big day!

  • Laura K says:

Im adding extentions to my hair for my wedding because a Feritin deficiency caused me to lose alot of hair a few months ago. Now it has stopped and is growing back slowely. This flat iron will come in very useful to straighten and blend the hair together for the big day!

  • NV says:

I have baby fine hair that can’t seem to make up it’s mind whether it wants to be straight or curly! Because it’s so fine most flat irons are just too hot and it ends up drying out and getting frizzy. I have to resort to the dreaded ponytail most days to give it a break. The multiple temperature setting is key for my poor hair :(

  • Yvonne says:

I could really use the Rowenta iron for my engagement shots to make my hair straight and silky!

  • Liz says:

My hair is very curly and without a good flat iron, a frizzy mess all summer long. This is just what I need!

  • Michelle N says:

I have worn my hair in a ponytail 99% of days for as long as I can remember! I am uttlerly hopeless when it comes to hair and cheap styling tools just do not help the situation. I would love to win a Rowenta Flat Iron to inspire me to practice doing soemthing new with my hair and help me avoid the perma-ponytail in all the pictures at my showers and rehearsal dinner!

  • Melissa B says:

My hair has a mind of it’s own. With a Rowenta Flat Iron, I wouldn’t have to make all those expensive trips to the hair salon to have it done, I could style my own hair for the wedding!!! Also for my every day I live, I could look like I had gone to the salon, while I would really be styling myself in the comfort of my own home. My sister would thank me as maid of honor for helping tame her unruly hair! I really need a quality hair straightener!

  • Barefoot bride! says:

I have fine and wavy hair, and it’s VERY stubbord hair! It take alot of heat to make it curl or straighten, and I’ve found that a flat iron works best for the straight OR curly hair look I want to achieve. The one that I got at Christmas a few years back is starting to crap out on me! So It would be nice to have a new flat iron for the wedding day, so my MOH can do my hair!

  • Blaire says:

My hair has suddenly taken on a natural wave and I’m used to straight, it also flips out to one side and kind of curls under on the other. With the humidity my hair is extremely frizzy, I need to have it straightened out for our pre and post parties around the wedding. If I had an amazing flat iron I would leave my hair down for ceremony and pictures – it looks a lot better when it’s down:)

  • Radhik says:

My hair over the course of the day likes to flip out at the bottom but only on one side. I have tried so many different flat irons and I love being able to have sleek short hair. I would use this while getting ready for the engagement party, the bachelorette party and wedding showers as I am opting to have somewhat curly hair on the day of the wedding.

  • Allison says:

My hair is what you would call kind straight. The very top and the very bottom and perfectly staright, every things else however looks like a mjor case of bed head. These kinky waves are so stubborn that my flat iron at home can bearly handle them. I am forced to either curl it to hide the waves or put it up in a bun.
I am craving a sleek pin straight look and why pay for a hair dresser to do it when I can acheive it at home with this amazing flat iron.

  • Anne says:

Yes a Rowenta flat iron would a great addition for wedding day hair. I have crazy cowlicks in my hair. This would be great for my wedding day and I would love one.

  • Robin says:

I have long (super long), thick, mind of its own hair – sometimes curls, sometimes frizz. During this heatwave it becomes perfect bun hair. I’d love a good flat iron to put my hair in it’s place, so I don’t have to attend showers and rehearsal parties with a black hair elastic on my wrist, in every picture, and a bobby pin holding back the frizz!

  • Kristen S says:

I have tremendously thick, very long hair. Although I wont be wearing it down for the wedding (too hot!) I would love to sport it down for the rehearsal dinner or my shower, and this would save me the time and cost of going to the salon!

  • Jaklyn says:

My hair is defenseless against this summer’s humidity without a high quality flat iron, which I (sadly) do not own. With all of these wedding events (showers, parties etc) I’m always asking to borrow a friend’s, not convenient! Please help! :)

  • Belinda says:

I have really fine hair that goes curly with just a small bit of moisture! I’d love to have a flat iron for my second reception, it would give me a sleek look to have with my traditional Indian wedding sari that I am wearing.

  • LB says:

I could really use a good flat iron, my hair is thick with frizz. I would love to use the Rowenta iron for my rehearsal dinner to show that my hair actually can look other ways, other then frizzy!

  • JB says:

I would use the flat iron for the rehearsal dinner before my wedding to leave my hair down and absolutely straight. I have fine hair with a little bit of wave, so I need a good quality iron to keep my hair from getting fried.
