Picture Perfect Skin

When it comes to your wedding day skin we know you want it to be flawless, plus there are all those other events surrounding your big day where you’ll be the centre of attention (and that also means pictures!). So what’s your plan when it comes to your foundation? If you haven’t heard of Bare Escentuals, let me fill you in. Personally I had heard all of the hype and love for the brand, but hadn’t actually tried it on my face. Recently I had the chance to get colour-matched by the Bare Escentuals experts who were in town, so I had great reason to try it out for myself.
One of the most popular products of the brand is their bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation. The claim to fame is that it gives a flawless skin look and provides a really even application. Unlike other mineral foundations on the market, it’s 100% pure minerals – so no fillers like talc, fragrances or other chemicals that can irritate skin. It’s also a great multi-tasking foundation, since it can go on heavy an act like a concealer or really light like a soft powder depending on how you apply it. I gave it a try and really liked the results. All you do is put a little powder in the lid, swirl, tap and then apply on your face. Sometimes you have to do it a couple times (depending on the level of coverage you want), but the results are very natural. A no-makeup makeup look if you will.
I’ve been wearing it all week and so far love the coverage. I do get a little shiny mid-day, so the Mineral Veil is the solution for that (also a summer bridal beauty solution if you will) – that and blotting tissues! You’ll definitely get the best value for your money with the Get Started Kit which also includes the Mineral Veil, Warmth All Over Face Colour, three brushes and more. So where can you find it? Murale and Sephora stores across Canada. I’d love to know if any of you use the bareMinerals and what you think!
