All About Photos

WBFeb10_heather-parrots

Me (left) and my sister & maid of honour (right).

Finding a photographer in Toronto is not easy.  Yes, there are lots to choose from…but that only makes it harder!  Where do you even start?  Well, lucky for us, my sister is really into photography and was also on the hunt to find a photographer for her wedding.  She researched photographers like crazy, so when she found one that impressed her, I knew it was worth setting up a meeting to meet the photographer.  We set up a meeting with Kim Lovell and she made a great impression on us.  She was professional, personable and her pictures were fabulous. Cake, Cupcakes & Invitations!

WBFeb10_cupcakesI love to bake.  I love cupcakes, cakes, cookies and anything else with lots of sugar!  This year, I’ve really gotten into making cupcakes and I was certain that I wanted cupcakes instead of a wedding cake. It will be great not only to share this planning process with all of you, but also to have the chance to hear your advice! I hope to inspire your planning, spark some creativity and show that even those of you planning traditional weddings can have some “alternative” details.  An alternative wedding is not about throwing all tradition out the window, but feeling free to change the traditions to represent you better. Circus Celebration

HeatherMy life is filled with circus, vegan cupcakes and love. It is far from ordinary and I want my wedding day to be the same. I’m entering the Alternative category because I’m pretty sure our wedding will be far from usual.

My fiancé and I met at the circus training space. Since then, we’ve fallen in love, created circus acts together and opened up an aerial, acrobatic and fitness studio by the name of Cirque-ability.  Read the rest of this entry »
