Wedding Belle: Pretty and Girly

Bride: Erin Plester
Wedding Date:
August 2, 2009
Wedding Location:
Vancouver, British Columbia
Wedding Style:
Erin was a lovely Canadian beach bride in her strapless A-line dress with a soft sweetheart neckline. This crisp white gown had a beautiful cathedral train, while its adornments were subtly beautiful. Erin’s dark brown hair was swept into an elegant updo, with a large white flower pinned behind her ear. Her stunning and effortless look continued with crystal chandelier earrings as being her only piece of jewelry–besides her ring of course! Erin kept it simple with just a bit of natural looking makeup and pale pink nails. She held a blossoming bouquet of pastel red and pink roses. Erin’s bridesmaids had similar bouquets and also looked soft and girly in their flirty crème cocktail dresses. An off-white rose was pinned on the groom and his groomsmen, completing the sweet look.

May 29, 2010
Wedding Location:
Montreal, Quebec
Wedding Style:
Kaitilyn was the centre of attention in a crisp white dress with a shimmering chiffon overlay. Subtle glittering swirls and flowers covered this gown that also had a pretty crystal belt. This bride continued to dazzle in a long veil with shimmering details on the hemline and sparkling chandelier earrings, further complimented by a chunky diamond bracelet. Suitable to her style, Kaitilyn wore silver kitten-heeled peep-toes with crystal detailing. Her strapless bridesmaids’ cocktail dresses were adorned with a crystal broach, while the deep purple colour accentuated the purple orchids in Kaitilyn’s bouquet. This bold bouquet also featured bright red roses and pink peonies, perfect for this early summer wedding. Kaitilyn’s crystal blue eyes popped as black eyeliner framed her eyes. A touch of soft pink colour on her lips and a swipe of pink blush on her cheeks kept Kaitilyn’s eyes the main focus of her look. A look that’s simply oh-so-pretty!

Wedding Belle: A Chic Beach Bride

Bride: Crystal Lee Thauberger
Wedding Date:
February 12, 2010
Wedding Location:
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Wedding Style:
Crystal was as pretty as a gem at her fun Mexican wedding. Her beautiful strapless gown was ruched until her waist and then drifted into a skirt that featured subtle pickups. A black satin sash was wrapped around her waist to give off a sultry and modern feel. Her dark tresses were parted to the right and pulled back into an elegant side chignon. A few loose layers softly fell over her face and of course her beach bride look could not be complete without and white feathery flower in her hair. Crystal wore large stud diamond earrings, which were complemented by a sparkling bracelet. Her nails were perfectly french-manicured and she held a beautiful bouquet of white calla lilies.  And as for her something blue—Crystal wore light blue peep-toe heels with small crystal straps around the ankles. Her bridesmaids also wore fabulous bright blue dresses, and the colour continued to thread throughout the day’s decor.

July 11, 2010
Wedding Location:
Whistler, British Columbia
Wedding Style:
Nicki was a natural stunner in her ivory, sweetheart gown that featured a pretty Swarovski belt to emphasize her waist. An a-line style skirt revealed a pair of sparkling and glamorous peep-toe Jimmy Choos—Nicki calls them “a hint of glamour in an otherwise classic and elegant theme.” Her brown hair was loosely pulled back into a tousled updo, revealing a gorgeous pair of Swarovski chandelier earrings. As for her makeup, Nicki says her makeup artist “created a romantic, timeless look in shades of brown and gold.” This gold and elegant theme continued to carry throughout Nicki’s bridal party as her bridesmaids donned strapless, silk dresses in shimmering gold, while groomsmen had a hint of gold in their tie patterns.

Caryn dazzled in a princess gown with a bustier style top and a full ball gown skirt. Beautiful beading and lace covered the gown and a sweetheart neckline played up her femininity. Caryn’s blond locks were pulled into what she calls a “loosey goosey updo” and a silver and pearl headpiece adorned her head. Karran’s ivory, silk taffeta gown was a strapless number with a washed silk organza overlay. The whimsical a-line dress was complimented with a thin pearl necklace and drop diamond and pearl earrings borrowed from the groom’s mother. Karran’s delicate floral beaded hair accessories were a romantic touch to her fun loosely curled hairstyle, with pieces braided away from her face. Wedding Belle: Luxurious and Cultural

Bride: Hena Awan
Wedding Date:
October 10, 2009
Wedding Location:
Toronto, Ontario
Wedding Style:
Hena’s spectacular style consisted of three gorgeous dresses for three fantastic ceremonies. During Hena’s Nikkah (pre-wedding ceremony where vows are exchanged) Hena wore a bright yellow traditional Pakistani dress with exquisite silver and orange embellishments. A long see-through red veil draped over her head until she took it off to reveal her beautiful makeup. Yellow and orange eyeshadow matched her outfit perfectly, while her soft peach lips kept the eyes her main focus.
During Hena’s Mehendi (pre-wedding ceremony to get the couple ready for marriage) she stunned in a ravishing cultural outfit, which was dominated by plum purples, teals and magentas. The gorgeous embroidery and colours brought together all the hues of the Arabian themed ceremony. As for makeup, Hena says, “I remember asking her to go bold and wild with the eyes–and boy did she deliver!” Hena’s eyes were played up with a smoky cat eye look dominated by deep purples and dark greys. Her long, brown tresses were left loose in natural-looking waves.
During Hena’s wedding day, Hena wore a custom-designed traditional Pakistani bright red dress with plenty of dazzling gold embroidery and beading. She wore a veil of the same material and beading, along with a similar small purse. “I wanted to have an extremely traditional look on my wedding day,” Hena says. Her beautiful cultural look continued into the gold headpiece, bangles, chandelier earrings and chunky necklace she wore. This bride’s long brown hair was pulled away from her face into a braided knot bun to support her heavy veil. Hena’s bold and beautiful makeup consisted of dark, smoky eyes and fantastic red lips. Hena sought after a wedding inspired by the traditions of Mughal, India. “I wanted to look regal and give off the image of being in a palace.” Hena’s stunning and rich wedding style corresponded perfectly with the luxurious feeling of the ceremony, and Hena looked like true royalty!
