Q: Is it crazy to buy a house on top of planning a wedding this year?
A: Buying a home and planning a wedding are two very big tasks. Taking on both at once can definitely be a challenge, but if you have the time and a knack for organization it’s very doable. The key is time: allow for a lot of time to plan both—we’re talking a minimum one year. Time management is also crucial: make a schedule and stick to it to ensure you don’t forget anything. Just planning a wedding can be a full-time job, so if you’re going to buy a house at the same time you’ll want to ensure you’ve got the time to do both.
