Many Thanks
Q: After my bridal shower, should I send out formal thank-you notes that mention specific gifts, or can I make thank-you notes for all the guests and give them out as they leave the shower?
A: Traditionally, bridal shower thank-you notes should be sent in the mail to the hostess and guests who gave gifts. One problem with handing out thank-yous at the shower itself is that the cards won’t be personalized. Etiquette queen Peggy Post emphasizes the importance of being grateful and polite when receiving gifts. A vital part of shower etiquette is writing a personal thank-you card to each person. Every thank-you note should include a reference to the person by name and mention the gift they gave, so handing out thank-yous right after the shower would be quite difficult.
