Q: My fiancé and I called off our wedding two years ago and returned most of the gifts. We have reunited and have decided to get married in five months. Do we register even if we’re not having an engagement party?
A: Registering, even though you aren’t having an engagement party, is still an important part of the planning process, since guests will want to have gift options when attending the wedding. While some guests may choose to give money, those attending the wedding may prefer to give gifts instead of cash and if so, having a registry allows them to buy something they know you want. Since you and your fiancé were never actually wed, by all means, register!
