Friendly Favours
Q: In lieu of wedding favours, we decided to donate to Second Harvest and Warchild Canada. Another couple whose wedding we recently attended also made donations in lieu of wedding favours, but they still gave a very nicely wrapped chocolate to everyone. My fiancé thinks that since we are making a donation, little favours such as chocolates are not necessary. What do you think?
A: Favours are slowly fading away as a wedding must-have. Not only are they an extra expense, it is almost impossible to choose something that all of your guests will enjoy. Making donations to a charity of your choice is a great way to give back to your community and here’s the best part: they are waste-free, which makes them eco-friendly!
