Choosing Sisters

Q: I have two younger sisters that I am extremely close with and who are both prettysensitive. How do I choose which one to be my maid of honour?

A: You have a few options. In reality, you only need one person to sign as your maid of honour but, hey, it’s 2008 and if you really can’t decide, you could always have both of them. Another option would be to work out an agreement between the three of you. Maybe one sister would really love to be the maid of honour but the other doesn’t mind as much and would love to be a bigger part of helping you pick your dress or plan a certain part of your wedding instead. The main thing is good communication. They’re your sisters and they want you to be happy on your W-day.

I have 2 sisters as well and decided to ask them both to be maid of honors however one of my sisters also got married this year and was a bridzilla she also agreed to have both of us as maid of honors but at the end of the day she really didn’t treat us both equally as maids of honors and she excluded me a lot through out her day, it was my plan to have her sign our papers but she has even giving me a hard time about picking up her bridesmaid dress and not having alterations done in time… I really don’t think she is acting like a maid of honor. what do I do? have my other sister sign the papers or should i just ask my friend who has been the most supportive? can i change my mind 3 months before i get married by demoting my maid of honor to brides maid and can i promote my bridesmaid to maid of honor?

Why not have them walk in side by side with the ushers/groomsmen waiting with the groom?

I have both my sisters as Bridesmaid. We joke that they are bridesmaid one and Bridesmaid one. So far so good. They have really shared equally in all the responsibilities. Now which one will walk down the aisle first? Perhaps I’ll flip a coin!
