Another Valentine’s Day, another predictable rom-com hitting theatres to get us in the mood for love. Not. As you can guess, I won’t be running out to catch Valentine’s Day. Looking at the movie poster on the subway the other day for this film did get me thinking what is my favourite romance movie. My pick: The English Patient. The 1996 Oscar winning film is a true epic movie; it’s a beautiful love story presented in a beautiful film. The passion on-screen between romantic leads Ralph Fiennes and Kristin Scott Thomas is sizzling, sexy and, ultimately devastating. I’m getting misty just thinking about it.
