About the Couple
Bride: Claudine Sakuler.
Groom: Robert Benda
Occupations: Claudine is a Grade 2 teacher, and Robert is an accountant.
How they met: They were university sweethearts.
Fave date: The first time they skied in Whistler. Rob is a pro while Claudine had to take it slow and steady. Instead of making Claudine feel like she was holding him back, Rob stood behind her and locked skis, and they skied down the mountain together. He still does that to this day!
What attracted her to him: “He wasn’t a big talker, a bragging kind of guy, but rather he was sincere and genuine in how he spoke to everyone.”
What attracted him to her: “Her smile. You should see it work its magic. It fills up an entire room.”
Engagement story: Robert surprised Claudine with a romantic proposal while they were skating on the outdoor terrace at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel. He had set the camera for what Claudine believed was going to be a photo of them in front of the majestic mountains, but he was, in fact, recording the whole thing. From his pocket, Robert took out the famous blue box tied with white ribbon and asked her to marry him. Claudine cheered yes so loudly that the two believe it echoes in the Rockies even today!
Words they live by: Life is what you make of it. Try to find something to laugh about each day. Life shouldn’t be too serious.

A beautiful wedding, a wedding worthy of a princess and her prince. Enchanting and charming.
