The Wedding Day
Wedding date: August 11, 2007
Guests: 95
Motif: 1930s to 1940s vintage glamour.
Advice to others: Savour every moment—it goes by fast. And remember, your wedding day is a celebration of your love and commitment to each other. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Wedding song: “Memories Are Made of This” by Dean Martin.
Fave gift: Grandma’s silverware.
Fave wedding detail: Coca-cola in old glass bottles, our cigarette and candy girl, and the swing band.
Most unexpected moment: There was another wedding happening in our ceremony spot during our booked time! It was a mix-up by the other bride and groom, but we let them finish and then they scooted out very quickly.
Best surprise of the day: How much our friends and family helped out to make our wedding day so amazing.
Honeymoon: We won a free honeymoon to Cuba at a local wedding fair.
The day in three words: Fun, unique and unforgettable.
