About the Couple
Bride: Nicole Diane Taylor
Groom: Brian Thomas Phillips
Occupations: Nicole is the owner and graphic designer for kitandkaboodle.ca and Brian is an account executive.
How they met: At a nightclub downtown. They hit it off immediately and soon found out that they grew up in the same crowd of friends, and Brian’s father and Nicole’s grandfather did business together. It was destiny!
Fave date: Their first date was quite adventurous. They ordered pasta to go from a nice little restaurant in West Van then went down to the pier. However, when they arrived they realized they had nothing to eat it with. So, they figured they would go to the fancy restaurant right by the pier and graciously ask to borrow a couple of forks, which they were very happy to lend them. They then went for a nice walk along the seawall and cuddled on a bench. But when they decided to walk back to the car it started to pour so they ended up calling a cab to come pick them up and drive them back to the car.
What attracted him to her: Her energy, her looks and that they, and their families, had so much in common.
What attracted her to him: His crazy dance moves. Nicole calls him Gumby.
Engagement story: Nicole had been waiting for close to two years for Brian to ask her the magic words. Brian had told Nicole at the beginning of 2006 that by the end of the year they would be engaged. On December 23, on the seawall in West Vancouver where they had their very first date, Brian asked Nicole to marry him and said that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Nicole was literally speechless and didn’t answer him for a while. Nicole had gone into a daze and Brian was repeating the same question to Nicole, “Will you marry me?” Eventually, Nicole snapped back into reality and responded, “Yes, of course!”

As someone who is not the least bit biased---Nicole made one of the most beautiful brides I've ever seen! Nicole's unique style was evident in every detail and the day was one to remember.
Love you, Mom.
