About the Couple
Bride: Kaylee Rae Friesen
Groom: Matthew Todd Friesen
Occupations: Kaylee is an aquatic therapist and a massage therapy student and Matt is a farmer.
How they met: While dancing, Matt’s smooth moves swept Kaylee off her feet during a rendition of "Let’s Make a Memory" by Bon Jovi.
Fave date: During Kaylee’s last semester of school in B.C. Matt came for a visit. The highlight was a Dance Dance Revolution and sangria night with her roommates. Matt impressed them so much that one of them pulled Kaylee aside and told her she should marry him.
What attracted her to him: His smile.
What attracted him to her: Her sense of humour and her eyes.
Engagement story: Matt had a test one day that didn’t go so well. Kaylee told him to come over, and she would cheer him up with pizza and beer. When she got home, Matt was already there watching TV. Kaylee noticed chocolates on the table and went to eat one, but Matt told her she had to wait until after supper. Kaylee ended up eating way too much, and had to be convinced to have just one chocolate. When she opened the box the ring was in the middle of the chocolates.
