The Wedding Day
Wedding date: September 5, 2009
Guests: 75
Her best moment: “The best part of the day was being able to have everyone we love in one place celebrating together. So many people helped us pull the wedding together; from my grandpa helping level off the backyard to my best friend making my dress. It was truly a group effort and celebration,” shares Britt.
Their best moment: “Exchanging our vows in a field before the ceremony, just the two of us,” shares the couple. “It was a quiet, beautiful moment where nothing else in the world mattered.”
Favourite wedding detail: “Our carrot-cake cupcakes,” gushes the couple.
Wedding song: “Do You Remember,” by Jack Johnson.
Theme: Country Chic
Reception: “The wedding truly captured the essence of us as a couple. We met one hour before the ceremony to have our portraits taken. A few minutes before the ceremony was to start we were in our last location—a massive clearing in the country. We decided this was the perfect spot to exchange the vows we had written one another,” shares Britt. “The ceremony and reception were held in my parents’ backyard and was very personal since we had just our closest family and friends present. We share a group of very close-knit friends who created many laughs during dinner and dancing.”
Favours:  The couple had a Candy Shop where guests could fill take-out boxes with yummy treats.
Honeymoon: The couple honeymooned in Tofino where they had spent many weekends together in the past.

Mother of bride to be - We absolutly love this wedding. It is so fresh, colourful and simple, but stunning at the same time. We love Britt's dress - will the bride share where she got it or the designer's name? thanks, dd

Hi Wendy.

The structure now sits in the couples garden. We just took maternity pictures that included it while the couple was expecting their twin boys. Very sweet.

The dress was made by her best friend.
