About the Couple
Bride: Victoria Scotton
Groom: Mario Bianchi
How they met: After meeting online, the two rendezvoused in person at a local Tim Hortons.
Engagement story: “For those who do not know Mario, he has very little patience when waiting to give a gift,” Victoria smiles. “Birthday and Christmas presents come weeks and even months before the actual day. The same rule applied to our proposal, so as soon as he had the ring in hand, he jetted over to my house. It was the night before my birthday and as soon as he walked in the door I knew something was up. Mario headed straight for my bedroom and I followed. With a silly smirk on his face he said, ‘Look under the pillow’ and after investigating, he got straight to the point, asking, ‘Will you marry me?’ It wasn’t exactly romantic, but of course I accepted! Later on, Mario told me the actual proposal he had planned: He was going to tie the ring around a collar on a white kitten and propose on my actual birthday. Oh well...a girl can dream!”
