The Wedding Day
Wedding date: June 20, 2009
Guests: 250
Their best moment: “When we sang to each other,” the couple shares.
Favourite wedding detail: A personalized monogram designed by the bride’s cousin that appeared throughout the wedding on stationery, menus and the CD favours.
Wedding song: “The Time of My Life” by David Cook.
Theme: Romance and Roses
Reception: “Using the 999 roses proposal for inspiration, we came up with a ‘romance and roses’ theme that incorporated the colours of soft pink, gold and a touch of ivory,” explains Viviane. “Roses constituted the main component of our decor and they were everywhere around the venue. It was very important that our wedding reflected our personalities without neglecting our Vietnamese heritage. By having our traditional ceremony in the morning followed by the Western wedding in the afternoon, we spoke to both sides. We just wanted our wedding to be an unforgettable experience for the two of us and all of our guests, and we were very pleased with the result,” gushes Viviane.
Favours: Wedding CD made with the couple’s personalized playlist.
Best surprise of the day: “On our wedding day, Hai surprised me by filling our nuptial suite with 999 pink roses. He also left a singing card with a note reminding me what 999 roses stood for—eternal love. The note also mentioned he would be waiting impatiently until the moment I’d walk down the aisle and he could stare straight at me from that moment on, and forever. Contrary to the proposal all the roses in the suite were real.”

A principalplanner.com wedding. I love these two. We placed the 999 roses in the bridal suite after sitting and counting every single one. Hai wanted us to double check that the number is exactly right. It was one of the sweetest things I have ever seen.
