Occupation: Rachelle is a healthcare worker and Gerald is a client services representative.
How they met: Through a Catholic youth group in Toronto.
What attracted him to her: His outgoing personality.
What attracted her to him: They started off as friends but it was her beauty – both inside and out – that attracted him more to her.
Engagement story: Gerald planned a surprise dinner for Rachelle at Duncan House, a two-level restaurant. To add to the element of surprise, Gerald had his best friend tie the engagement ring onto a fishing line so that he could hoist it down when the time came. The moment Gerald said that Rachelle was “a gift from above,” the ring dropped beside Rachelle, and Gerald bent down on one knee and proposed.
