How they met: Mutual friends set up Jodi and Adam on a blind date.
Fave date: On one of their first dates, they went to a drive-in theatre and watched the movie from the back of Adam's pickup truck.
What attracted her to him: Adam has the most genuine smile and a calm, easygoing personality, which Jodi loves.
What attracted him to her: Jodi’s beautiful blue eyes.
Engagement story: Adam approached Jodi’s parents first and asked for their blessing. The evening of the proposal, they had dinner at the Boathouse restaurant, and then Adam surprised Jodi with a summer evening drive up to Cypress Mountain. As they sat on a bench overlooking the city and the water Adam got down on one knee and proposed.
Words they live by: "You become what you practise most" is a phrase they try to live by everyday. One of their close family friends wrote in a wedding greeting card, "A happy wife is a happy life," which is another favourite saying.
