How they met: The couple met through friends over the course of many beach volleyball games.
Engagement story: “One day, we were relaxing on the couch, talking about life and marriage, and Brian suddenly suggested we go ring shopping,” Carrie recalls.

The wedding of my only son and his beautiful bride was a day to remember forever. It was so romantic, so relaxed, yet organized, so much FUN!!!!!! Carrie is such a beautiful person -- not just on the outside but also in all she says and does. She has brought out the very best in my son. I couldn't ask for a better daughter (-in-law). She was officially welcomed into our family that day, but she actually became part of our family about 10 years ago, the first time we had a meal with our side of the family. She has a wonderful sense of humour, loves cats (and other animals) and her eyes shine when she sees my son. He has never smiled more then he has since he met Carrie. The day of the wedding was full of smiles -- and tears of course. Some the tears were literally tears of happiness. Other tears were sad ones when we remembered Brian's Dad (who had died Aug. 31) and Carrie's much loved Grandma (part of the reason for the favours bearing a tag from Cancer Care). An amazing day!
