Bride: Natasha Lynn Mayes (née Taylor)
Groom: Christopher John Richard Mayes
Occupations: Natasha is a high school special education teacher and Chris is a CAD Technician.
How they met: “Chris and I met at a wedding during the summer of 2005. He was introduced as a friend’s date, and I mistook him for her husband. Luckily for me, he was not married!”
Fave date: “My birthday in Victoria, B.C. when we spent the afternoon touring Butchart Gardens followed by a horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown Victoria.”
What attracted her to him: “His fantastic smile and sense of humour.”
What attracted him to her: “Black dress, blonde curls and stunning blue eyes.”
Engagement story: “Chris bought the ring on a weekend and had planned a huge romantic beach proposal. Instead he could not wait and dropped to one knee at hole 15 on a Nanaimo golf course. I thought he had dropped his ball but luckily for me, he was proposing.”
Words they live by: “You only live once, so live life to the fullest and love like you’ve never been hurt before.”

I don't know if the couple checks this, but hey tasha! amy here, we were fast friends when camping at toquart bay 15 years ago or so......congrats on the wedding; beautiful pictures!
