The Wedding Day:
Wedding date: September 13, 2008
Guests: 140
Wedding theme: “There was no real theme, we just wanted to make sure we had a great party!”
Her best moment: “When the ceremony was over, and we went to the Dartmouth Commons for pictures. Shaun and I finally opened the bottle of champagne from inside our limo to celebrate.”
His best moment: “Walking into the church a little late!”
What they would have done differently: “I think I would have tried to start things earlier. It felt like we were a little rushed towards the end of the day.”
Advice to others: “Make sure you make time to enjoy your day, and don’t worry about all the little things.”
Wedding song: “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol. “This was one song Shaun and I both agreed would be amazing now and forever.”
Fave wedding gift: “Everyone was very generous.”
Most unexpected moment: “The groomsmen thought it would be a good idea to jump through some of our photos. It made everyone laugh.”
Fave wedding detail: “Our cake was done by Cakes by Darlene. She was amazing. We told her what we wanted and she made it happen.”
What made her day: “To know that all the important people in our lives were with us on this magical day.”
What made his day: “How much fun the whole day really was!”
Honeymoon: Cape Breton, Cabot Trail.
The day in three words: Party of the year! (Sorry, that’s four words.)
