Selecting a signature scent for your special day can be overwhelming. Should you go floral, oriental or woodsy? As you may have already found, the possibilities are endless. While we can’t pick a scent for you (that is completely personal!), we can help you with the shopping experience. Keep these four tips in mind as you hit the shops for your eau de toilette.
1. Start looking for your fragrance one to two months before your wedding day. Leaving yourself plenty of time ensures you have no allergic reaction to the scent.
2. Always spray the scent on your skin to get the full effect, then wait 15 seconds before you sniff. Never EVER buy a fragrance by just sniffing the bottle.
3. Don’t overwhelm your senses by sampling too many perfumes in one day. Limit yourself to three, and then make a date to resume your search on another day.
4. Make sure your betrothed gets a whiff of the scent. The last thing you want is for him to cringe at your fragrance.

B Spot by Benefit ($42 for 50 ml, at Sephora).
This light, fruity floral concoction aims to awaken your seductive pulse points (wink, wink)! To make sure you spray in the right spots, the back of the box comes complete with a body map of where to spray for maximum impact.
Key notes: Mango, orchid and amber.
